If you do something commercial with your page, e.g. advertising or merch, you need an imprint (Impressum) in Germany (§ 5 DDG). On your SITE it isn’t in the middle of the page but a small “Impressum” link at the very bottom. It leads to a separate page in the design of your SITE.

Filling in the imprint

Under SITE → Bearbeiten (edit), in the section Impressum:
The address doesn’t have to be your home address. A c/o address, e.g. via a management or an imprint service, works too. This is not legal advice. If in doubt, ask someone who knows.

When the imprint appears

It is complete as soon as Name, Straße, PLZ, Ort (name, street, postcode, city) and a valid E-Mail are filled in. Only then does your page show the “Impressum” link. If it is incomplete, nothing appears, and under SITE → Domain you see a red warning. You can still publish. Your email address and phone number appear on the imprint page in a way that scrapers can’t simply read them.

The contact form

With a complete imprint your page gets a contact form. On the imprint page visitors find the button Nachricht schreiben (write a message), enter name, email and their message and send it. They don’t see your address in the process. Against spam: at most 5 messages per sender per hour and 50 per day to you.

Reading requests

Messages land under SITE → Anfragen (requests). Unread ones have a dot.
Your Inbox is meant for sponsor requests, with an assessment of the sender. The contact form is for everything else.
