# Inbox

> Your email address for requests, with an assessment of how legit the sender seems.

Your workspace has its own email address: `yourname@inbox.oxom.de`. Use it for collaborations and sponsorships, e.g. in your channel info. Whatever arrives there, you read and answer in the **Postfach** (Inbox) at the bottom of the sidebar.

## Who is writing?

For every email you get a short **Einschätzung** (assessment): who is writing, what the company wants, and how legit it seems. For companies you see their logo and brand. Typical scam patterns are flagged, e.g. payment up front, a password request or “software to test”.

> [!WARNING]
>
> The assessment is a help, not a verdict. If you see a warning, don't download anything and don't enter any login details.

## Have an email checked

You got a suspicious request at your private address?

**1. Forward it**

Forward the email to `yourname@inbox.oxom.de` from the address you use to sign in to oxom.

**2. See the result**

The email lands in the **Geprüft** (Checked) folder, with an assessment.

## Folders

| Folder | What's inside |
| - | - |
| **Posteingang** (Inbox) | everything that arrives |
| **Ungelesen** (Unread) | what you haven't opened yet |
| **Geprüft** (Checked) | emails you forwarded for checking |
| **Gesendet** (Sent) | your replies |
| **Archiv** (Archive) | what's done |

## Replying

Reply right in the Postfach. The reply goes out from your `inbox` address, and your private address stays private.

## Email notification

When something new arrives, you get a short notice at your account address. You can switch it off in the Postfach.

## Messages

Under **Nachrichten** (Messages) you write directly to other workspaces or single people, e.g. your editor or another creator. No email, no third-party messenger.

## Retention

Your emails stay as long as your workspace exists, or until you delete them. Spam is deleted after 30 days. You can export emails for your own records.
