# LINK

> Short links and QR codes you can change at any time, with click counts.

A long address becomes a short link. It stays the same, even when the target changes. You find LINK in the sidebar under **Tools**.

## Create a short link

**1. Create a new link**

Open **LINK** and create a new link.

**2. Paste the target**

Paste the long address, e.g. your latest video or your shop.

**3. Pick a short ending**

Pick a short word for the end, e.g. `merch`, or let oxom suggest one.

**4. Create**

Click **Link erstellen** (Create link). The link works right away.

## Change the target

The link is already in twenty video descriptions and the target is out of date? Open the link and change the target. From then on, every old place leads to the new target. You don't have to fix anything.

## QR codes

Under **LINK → QR CODES** you get a QR code for every link, e.g. for merch, flyers or your stream overlay. The code points to the short link, so you can change the target later without reprinting.

## How often it was clicked

Under **LINK → Analytics** you see how often your links were clicked, when and from where. No cookies and no banner for your viewers.

## Code Builder

Under **LINK → Code Builder** you build a link with a discount code. Whoever opens it lands in your partner's shop with the code already in the cart.

## Your own domain

**1. Add a domain**

Open **LINK → Domain** and enter your domain, e.g. `yourname.link`.

**2. Set the records**

oxom shows you which DNS records to set at your domain provider. Copy them in there.

**3. Wait**

Once the records are right, the domain is connected. This usually takes a few minutes, sometimes longer.

You can connect several domains. The oldest one is your default domain for new links. Without your own domain, your links run on `oxom.link`.
